You've had some challenging moments in your life, starting as a child.  Moments of not being heard or understood. In one way or another, every one of us has experieced times where our needs just weren't met.

Perhaps it was ongoing criticism and judgment from a parent or perhaps even worse...situations where we experienced physical, sexual, mental, or even financial abuse.  Those moments create wounds, unhealed fragments that we take into adulthood.
